Welcome to the 24th Annual Spearfishing Tournament in Wrightsville Beach, NC.
The Wrightsville Beach Spearfishing Tournament (WBST) is a premier event for spearfishers of all levels. Join us from October 25th to 27th for a weekend of competition, camaraderie, and fun. The event will culminate with an awards ceremony on Sunday, October 27th.

Day 1 (October 25th)
6:00 AM: Spearfishing Begins
4:00 PM - 6:00 PM: Weigh-In at Sea Path Marina Yacht Club

Day 3 (October 27th)
Civil Dawn: Spearfishing Continues
12:00 PM - 2:00 PM: Weigh-In at Sea Path Marina Yacht Club
3:00 PM: Awards Ceremony at Sea Path Marina Yacht Club House
Divisions
There are three divisions, Inshore, Bottomfish and Pelagic, each with a unique species list.

Scoring
ATTENTION: The tournament has officially changed from an individually scored tournament to a Team Boat tournament with the same scoring rules.
Divisional scoring is based upon the combined weight of up to 3 heaviest fish of
different species (1 point per pound).
Overall scoring is based upon the total weight of your 3 Divisional scores multiplied by
the number of different species encountered.
Example John Doe speared a total of 9 different fish over the course of the
tournament weighing 10lbs each that qualify for each of the 3 in each category.
His score is calculated as...
9 x 10 x 9 = 810pts

*If there are less then 10 women competing in the tournament only 1st place will be awarded for the women's divisions.

There will be a cash Lionfish Pot thanks to Dan Johns of Wrightsville Beach. Show us 500 Lionfish!

Entry Fee includes 1 Spot for the awards dinner banquet Sunday, 2 Beer tickets, Event T-Shirt (If You Sign Up Before August 15th).

You can not compete in the tournament until we have received an electronic copy of the liability waiver, which you will upload in step 2.
